British Columbia Dragoons Beret – Kangol 1943

Original WWII British Columbia Dragoons (BCD) black wool beret. Intended for issue to armoured personnel, this beret retains its original BCD cap badge. It is in field-worn condition, British-made by Kangol Wear Limited, dated 1943, and sized 7 1/4. The beret remains uncleaned.

The BCD embarked for Britain on 13 November 1941. The regiment landed in Italy on 19 December 1943 as part of the 5th Armoured Brigade, 5th Canadian Armoured Division. On 20 February 1945 the regiment moved with the 1st Canadian Corps to North-West Europe, where it fought until the end of the war.
