British Leather ‘Camouflaged’ Jerkin – 1942
Original WWII British Camouflaged Leather Jerkin (No. 2). This is a hard to find and excellent example of the Leather Jerkin No. 2, factory-camouflaged and issued during the Second World War. The original No.1 jerkin, first used in the Great War, was later replaced by the improved No.2 model, which became a favorite among troops for its warmth and flexibility. This particular piece is in very good condition, complete with its original maker’s label: Hector Powe Ltd., dated 1942, size 2. Both shoulders show field repairs. This model was worn not only by British forces, but also extensively issued to Canadian and Polish troops serving under British command.
A hard-to-find item in this condition, especially with camouflage finish.
