British MkII Helmet – F&L 1939

This is a British MkII helmet in nice early brown paint. Soldier’s name E.W. Skelton is written twice on the shell’s inside and on the chinstrap. Helmet shell is manufactured by F&L, Fisher & Ludlow Ltd from Dudley, dated 1939. The helmet is in very good used condition, paint is like the brown coloured Chocolade and cigarette tins, not seen very often. The liner is in very good condition, nicely maker marked VERO what indicates the company Everett W Vero & Co from London. Size 6 3/4 and dated 1939. Helmet’s original chinstrap present, named E.W. Skelton.

Helmet in untouched condition, not easy to find in this nice brown color!
