Calgary (Tank) Regiment – Printed shoulder title

A rare original WWII Calgary (14th Tank) Regiment printed shoulder title . English made canvas shoulder title for Canadian troops overseas. The insignia shows traces of glue residue on the backside.

The Calgary Tank Regiment, part of the 1st Canadian Army Tank Brigade, was a Canadian armored unit in WWII. Its most notable action was during the Dieppe Raid (August 19, 1942), where it supported infantry with Churchill tanks. Many tanks were lost after becoming bogged down on the beach, but the crews fought bravely under heavy fire. They also took part in the liberation of the Netherlands in 1945.
