Untouched British manufactured MkIII helmet also known as the ‘Turtle helm’. The helmet shows normal traces of usage. Complete with its original chinstrap and liner. Date is hard to read, would say 1944, with a perfect size liner 7 1/2. These MkIII helmets were issued to British and Canadian troops who landed on Normandy, June 6 1944, and afterwards also to other troops. These helmets were also worn by the Polish troops and Prinses Irene Brigade. This type of helmet was only produced in United Kingdom.
Today the MkIII helmets are getting hard to find! Especially in this original condition.
