Luftwaffe KW 1/33 Protective Winter Flying Suit
This is a early war Luftwaffe KW 1/33 Protective Winter Flying Suit in used condition. All buttons present, most zipper are in funtional condition except for the lower leg zippers these are not functional en there is a damage on the collar (easy to repair). Nice original applied Feldwebel (Sergeant) insignia on both sleeves. The blue sleeve liner in the right sleeve is gone and one repair on the right sleeve. Shows traces of usage. Good size for a mannequin.
Development of protective flight uniforms and equipment began with the advent of military aircraft in WWI and continued on into the Weimar and the Third Reich eras, resulting in three distinct one-piece combination pattern flight suits being approved before WWII and worn for the duration of the war with minor modifications.
