Military Police service dress cap with rare red-colored cover 1944

450,00

A very rare original WWII Military Police service dress cap featuring a scarce red-colored cover. The cap is made from khaki drab wool of the same quality used for standard Service Dress uniforms. It remains in very good condition and is clearly maker-marked Compton Sons & Webb Ltd., London, dated 1944, in size 6 1/2. It also bears the Broad Arrow and War Department (WD) stamps. The cap retains its original Military Police cap badge.

The red cover is an original wartime example—extremely rare—and is maker-marked Army Signals, dated 1944.
