Royal Marines Battle Dress – D.J. Jones

Original WW2 British ‘Royal Marines’ P40 battle-dress tunic, named to D.J. Jones. There is a D.J. Jones, Plymouth group RM X 110813 who was wounded short after D-Day, 10 June 1944. His secondary unit was 30th Assault Unit which was a very special unit. Unfortunately we do not have proof that this is the man of this tunic but a very big possibility yes, see also the France & Germany Star ribbon.  The jacket is in good used condition, shows traces of usage and some moth damage. Tunic is fitted with its original makers label, dated 1943. Also stamped with WD N what indicates the date 1943. Nice so called cash-tape Royal Marines titles, Good Conduct chevron to the lower left arm and a medal ribbon bar for 1939-1945 Star, France & Germany Star and Defence Medal. Name is written inside the uniform. One front closer button is broken.
