Wehrmacht (Heer) M42 helmet – ET66

Wehrmacht (Heer) M42 helmet. The helmet is in good used condition. Retaining much of its original rough-textured field-grey paint and also traces of wear. The shell is maker-marked “EF66” with a serial number “1536” (though the “5” is slightly worn and difficult to read). The liner is also in good used condition and includes its original drawstring. The leather chinstrap is present, though shortened over time. Notably, all three liner-retaining rivets are untouched and remain perfectly straight. The helmet comes with a note that the helmet was originally found Isigny-Sur-Mer, Omaha beach.
