Wooden Ammunition Box – 303 Vickers for ground and A.F.V. use

Original WW2 British wooden box intended to hold .303 inch Vickers machine gun ammunition, 500 cartridges. For ground and A.F.V. (armoured fighting vehicles) use. Complete with carrying ropes, partition and very often missing lid. The wooden box is dated 1939. All labels present and text ‘303 BELTS’ what means this box was filled up with complete Vickers ammunition belts.
