Royal Artillery MkII Helmet
Original WWII British MkII helmet with Royal Artillery flash. The helmet appears in field-worn condition. It has been period overpainted twice with green/brown camouflage paint, a common practice among troops who gave their helmets an additional coat of paint. The Royal Artillery (blue-red) insignia remains clearly visible beneath the second layer overpaint. The shell markings are not legible, while the liner is made by B.M.B., dated 1942. The rubber cross-shaped pad is missing.
A very nice example of a field used Royal Artillery Mk II helmet.
