German Paratrooper Converted M40 Smock

Original WWII German Paratrooper (Fallschirmjäger) converted M40 smock. This is an original early Model 1940 Luftwaffe paratrooper step-in smock that was factory converted to the later button-front configuration. The smock is manufactured from the typical green fabric and retains all of its original, fully functional RAPID zippers with factory-sewn pull tabs in various brown shades. All PRYM 6 snaps are present and fully functional. The factory conversion incorporates original Grünmeliert fabric, along with sections of solid green material, as commonly seen on these converted smocks. The breast eagle has been replaced at some point. The smock is maker marked and sized “IIC.” A rare and highly desirable original converted Fallschirmjäger smock in nice field-worn condition.
