Canadian Tanker Holster – ZL&T 1943
€130,00
Original WWII Canadian web revolver holster, as used by the Canadian Armoured Corps. Designed to carry the Enfield or Webley service revolver. Maker-marked ZL&T Ltd and dated 1943, with the Canadian C-Broad Arrow stamped on the inside of the belt loop. These holsters were originally produced in a longer “tanker” configuration with a leg strap. In service, the extra length and leg strap proved impractical for crews operating inside the confined spaces of armoured vehicles, and many were subsequently shortened. Wartime photographs frequently show Canadian armoured personnel wearing these shortened holsters. Used condition, showing wear and several holes in the web material. The reason or purpose for these holes is unknown
