Royal Winnipeg Rifles Beret – 1944

Original WWII Royal Winnipeg Rifles beret, maker-marked by the Grand’Mère Knitting Company, dated 1944 and size marked 7 1/4. The beret is in good used condition and shows age and service wear. There is a museum identification label attached to the inside, which can easily be removed if desired. We obtained the beret with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles cap badge already fitted. The badge is backed with a nice green cloth backing, giving the beret a particularly nice appearance. The beret also has two additional small holes from a previously fitted cap badge, indicating that another badge had been mounted on the beret at some point in its history before he was transferred to the Royal Winnipeg Rifles (a common practice).
