17th Duke of York’s (Royal Canadian Hussars) – Cap badge with backing

Original WWII 17th Duke of York’s (Royal Canadian Hussars) cap badge, complete with its original red cloth backing, which appears to have remained with the badge since the war. The badge has settled nicely into the cloth, untouched example. Cap badges retaining their original cloth backings are becoming increasingly difficult to find. The 17th Duke of York’s (Royal Canadian Hussars) served as part of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division during the Second World War.
