British (Airborne) Denison Smock – John Gordon 1944
Original WWII British Airborne 2nd Pattern Denison Smock. The smock retains its original maker’s label: John Gordon & Co., size 1 (Small), dated 1944. It is in good condition and shows only normal signs of wear. The tail is still present. The two upper breast pocket press-studs were replaced at some point; otherwise, all brass press-studs are present, fully functional, and marked “Newey.” The smock also retains its original, fully functional half-zip “Swift” zipper. While primarily associated with Airborne troops, Denison smocks were also widely used by British and Canadian infantry units.
A nice 1944 Denison Smock in bright camouflage.
