British MkI Paratrooper Helmet – BMB 1943

Original WWII British MkI Paratrooper Helmet. This is a fine example of the British MkI ‘Airborne’ paratrooper helmet. Originally commissioned in October 1942, the MK1 was equipped with a leather chinstrap and a steel rim. This particular helmet features classic black leather chinstraps secured with rivets. The rubber pads in the liner remain in used condition and is still supple in most areas. The leather liner remains in good condition, shows expected signs of wear. Maker marked inside with BMB manufacturer’s stamp and a size 7. The helmet has its original factory paint.

The Mk1 paratrooper helmet is harder to find than the Fibre Rim paratrooper helmet. A stunning helmet!
