Canadian Black Tanker Beret – 1942

Original WWII Canadian Black Tanker Beret. The tanker beret is made of the same black cotton fabric as used for the black tanker work suits. This beret was manufactured in 1942 by Morris Cap Co. Ltd. and is a size Large. The beret is in very good condition. This may have been a beret worn while working on vehicles, or possibly one worn before the Canadian Army started wearing wool berets instead of Service Caps in 1943.
