Denison Smock (Airborne Troops) – Dated 1942
Original WWII British ‘Airborne Troops’ 1st pattern Denison Smock. This 1st Pattern Denison Smock, dated 1942, is in very good condition with only minor signs of wear. Notably, it features both camouflage styles—hand-painted and printed—making it a particularly interesting example. The smock retains its clearly readable maker’s label: C.W.S. Ltd, dated 1942, and marked as size 7. The half-zip is fully functional and marked “N”. The knitted cuffs are nice, show some small damage. The tail has been removed—a common field modification by soldiers. All brass press-studs are marked NEWEY. There is a rip in the cloth behind the zipper; however, it is not visible when on display (see last photo).
