Free French FFI (Forces Françaises de l’Intérieur) – Resistance armband

Original WWII French FFI (Forces Françaises de l’Intérieur) resistance armband, dating from the liberation of France in 1944. Locally manufactured with a shaped black wool base and a separately applied French tricolor panel, ink stamped “FFI” to the front. Shows genuine age and wear with some fading to the markings and colors. Overall a very attractive and characteristic example of a French Resistance armband.
