NZ RAF Service Dress Cap, jacket and trousers – Noel Varley SPANHAKE

675,00

Original WWII Royal New Zealand Air Force (NZ RAF) uniform grouping, named to P/O Spanhake. The set includes the Service Dress visor cap, jacket and trousers, the jackets bears period label. The interior tailor label is dated 10-7-44 and marked to “P/O Spanhake.” The uniform was tailored by Schneideman & Sons Ltd, a well-known New Zealand military tailor during the Second World War. The jacket has a very nice early wartime embroidered wing. The uniform shows traces of wear and small damages, the Officer’s SD cap is in worn condition, made by Charles Hill & Sons from Wellington, New Zealand.

We have a strong feeling this uniform grouping may be attributed to Flying Officer Noel Varley SPANHAKE, D.F.C. Although further research would be required for complete confirmation.

A very attractive and research-worthy RNZAF grouping with excellent display potential.
