Polish Armoured Beret – Jalpotex Ltd 1942

Original WWII British RAC black beret with its original Polish cap badge. The beret was manufactured by Jalpotex Ltd., dated 1942, and is a size 7½. The beret is in excellent condition, showing normal signs of wear. The original Polish cap badge is wartime-applied. Directly below the cap badge are two small holes, most likely from a Polish rank insignia that was worn below the cap badge. The manufacturer’s markings inside the beret have become faint with age. The liner was carefully and lightly moistened in order to make the original markings more visible for the photographs.

A very attractive and well-preserved 1942 dated Polish Armoured beret, with a maker that we don’t see very often.
