RCASC Capbadge – Staff Sergeant Graves

Original WWII Royal Canadian Army Service Corps (RCASC) cap badge, named to Staff-Sergeant Graves, F-25513. The cap badge comes with its original light blue backing and cardboard backplate. Written on the backplate are Staff Sergeant Graves’ details, identifying him as serving with RCASC Water Transport. The RCASC usually wore a yellow badge backing, so it is possible that the unusual light blue backing has some connection to the Water Transport unit, although further research would be needed to confirm this.

An interesting and unusual named badge with good research potential. Sometimes, the smallest items can reveal the most unique and fascinating stories.
