WAAF uniform grouping – Named to Section Officer B. Espir

Original WWII Women’s Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) uniform grouping named to Section Officer B. Espir. This well preserved set consists of her Service Dress tunic and skirt, both tunics retain their maker’s labels with her name, War Service Dress jacket dated 1944, bearing a clear WD stamp with the letter “M” for 1944. Both uniforms are in good condition, with jackets retaining their original labels, correct officer’s rank insignia, and medal ribbons for the “France & Germany Star” and “Defence Medal”. The grouping also includes her WAAF officer’s hat in used condition (uncleaned), a pair of leather gloves (one glove stamped), a Sam Browne leather belt, black tie, leather wallet, the Defence Medal, four stamped shirt collars, and a rare pair of original brown coloured tights/pantyhose showing period wear and some damage. This grouping also includes a large part of a parachute.

A stunning and complete grouping with strong display and research potential; no research into Section Officer Espir has yet been undertaken.
