WH Panzerjäger Officer’s Tunic
This is a nice original Wehrmacht Panzerjäger tunic of a Lieutenant within the ‘Regiment 8’ is in good condition. All insignia are original applied, including the hand embroidered breast eagle. The collar tabs are nice late-war pattern and not seen very often. The shoulder-boards are in good condition, the inside shows some damage. The tunic bears a medal bar. This is a private purchased officers tunic, officers and certain senior NCO ranks were responsible for purchasing their own uniforms and as a result were allotted a clothing allowance through the army’s Kleiderkasse (Clothing Account) system. The Officers and certain senior NCO’s could choose to purchase their uniforms from the armed forces clothing depots or to privately purchase garments of higher quality.
