H-Cell – No.5 for Type H Container

Original WW2 H-Cell, No.5 for type H drop container. This cell is in fully original condition, original green paint. Good condition. The carrying handles are taken off. Nice for display, easily to fill with SOE items. Nicely marked to the side and bottom. Hard to find item in this condition!

The type H container was used predominantly for dropping supplies to resistance, Jedburgh teams and members of the SOE operating behind enemy lines. It is made up from an assembly consisting of five individual storage sections which are in the center, a percussion head on one end and a parachute stowage section on the other end.
