RAF C-type Flying Helmet – Early pattern

RAF C-type flying helmet, this is an early pattern with leather chinstrap construction. The leather is in excellent overall condition with only one minor damage (see photo). This example has 3 press studs fitted, making it suitable for E series and G type oxygen masks. All straps are good and the press studs retain virtually all of their original coatings. Excellent Bennett buckle and chinstrap with metal end-tip. The rubber receiver carriers are excellent and fully flexible. The chamois lining is undamaged and has some soiling. A very nice example in head size 57.
