British Airborne Fibre Rim Helmet – BMB 1942

Original WW2 British Airborne (Paratrooper) Fibre Rim helmet. This is an early wartime HSAT helmet with fibre rim, fitted with its original leather chinstrap construction in good condition. The chin cup has the chamois lining present. The liner of the helmet complete and in used condition, clearly maker marked BMB and dated 1942, in good size 7 1/4. The yellow sorbo is still in good condition. The crash pad is not present. The rim is good and tight around the helmet, the shell shows some cracks around the rim, this was one of the reasons that the fibre rim was replaced by the Mk1 helmet. The helmet has its original factory paint, both sides of the helmet shows signs of decals that are removed at some point, we are not able to indentify the flashes. Comes with an original camouflage net with scrim.
