Original WW2 Royal Engineers Mk2 helmet with a flash painted to the front. The flash might indicates something within the Royal Engineers due to the R.E. service number written on the chinstrap. A nice used and uncleaned helmet. Liner is maker marked BMB and dated 1942. Helmet shows some rust as found. Nice research project.
