No. 5 Commando was a British Army unit formed in 1940 as part of the elite British Commandos. They specialized in raids and special operations during World War II. Key operations such as Operation Ironclad (1942): Invasion of Madagascar to secure it from Japanese control. Burma Campaign (1943-1945): Fought against Japanese forces as part of the “Chindits,” conducting deep-penetration missions.
