Early (hand-painted) Denison Smock (Airborne Troops) – Dated 1942
RARE early ‘hand painted’ 1st pattern Denison smock (Airborne Troops). This is a 1st pattern smock incorporates hand-painted camouflage, the early 1st pattern smocks were hand-painted, later they had printed camouflage. The smock is in good used condition, shows normal traces of wear (see photos). The right breast-pocket is missing the outside part of the press-stud, so that would be easy to replace. The smock is fitted with its maker’s label by LEWIS BROS, dated 1942 in size 5 (best size you can get IMO). WD stamped with letter ‘O’ that indicates the date 1942 as well. Both knitted cuffs are in good condition. The tail is present. Brass press-studs are all NEWEY marked. The smock has its original and good working ‘Lightning’ zipper.
