Denison Smock (Airborne Troops) – 1st pattern

2.300,00

Original WWII British Denison Smock (Airborne Troops). This is a 1st pattern Denison smock in good used condition, showing normal signs of wear. Nice colors. The original maker’s label is intact but unreadable, we can date this smock 1942 or early 1943. It is a size 4, exactly the same size as another size 4 smock I have in my personal collection. The half zipper is fully functional and marked “Lightning”. The knitted cuffs are in perfect condition, and the tail is present. All brass press-studs are marked “NEWEY”. While Denison smocks are primarily known as Airborne smocks, they were also widely used by Commando units as well as regular British and Canadian infantry troops. The tail is present, it has been added back in place at some point, one front press-stud is missing.

1st pattern Denison smocks are getting harder to find.
