British Airborne MkI Helmet – G&S 1943

Original WWII British Airborne (Paratrooper) MkI helmet. This British MkI paratrooper helmet featuring leather chinstraps. The helmet retains its original factory paint. Typical riveted leather chinstraps for G&S. The leather remains in good, supple condition, including the chin cup, which is lined with intact chamois for added comfort. The liner is complete, good condition, and clearly marked with the maker’s initials, G&S, dated 1943, and sized 6 5/8. The liner’s black-colored Sorbo remains in used condition, The backside of the leather sweatband has a small piece added to make the liner slightly wider, undoubtedly an old modification. The crash pad is present, and the bolts and nuts remain untouched. Comes with an original camouflage net and scrim.
