Canadian Dispatch Rider’s Steel helmet

Original WWII Canadian Dispatch Rider’s steel helmet. A scarce Canadian-made motorcycle helmet, produced to a higher quality than the British type, featuring rubber padding instead of pressed horsehair, and a wider chinstrap. The helmet is complete with its original liner, which remains in very good condition, maker-marked BS, size 7, and dated 1944. The shell is marked C.L./C. dated 1944, and also bears the Canadian Broad Arrow stamp. Much of the original paint is retained, with light traces of service wear.
