R.A.F. Folding Knife

Original WWII R.A.F. ‘Beadon’ Flying Suit Knife (R.A.F. ‘Clasp’ knife). Manufactured with a simple folded sheet steel body in a ‘blued’ finish. Fitted with two blades, one simple 9.75cm standard single edged spear-point blade and a similar length non-edged spike. These knives were issued as part of the Beadon Flying Suit (Lightweight Flying Overall). There is also a suggestion that these were sometimes packed in Red Cross parcels or even dropped to Resistance Forces. This example is, as many are, unmarked. Much of the blued finish remains and aside from minor corrosion, it is in good condition. They have now become a rare find. RAF Stores Reference 22P/11.
