Luftwaffe Flight/Fallschirmjäger EM/NCO’s visor cap

Original WWII Luftwaffe Flight/Fallschirmjäger EM/NCO’s visor cap (Schirmmütze). This is a privately purchased example, complete with its sweat diamond and clearly maker-marked: Extra Ausführung, Marke Berlin, M.S.&S. W (Marie Slama & Sohn, Wien). The cap is not size-marked. It features the yellow Truppenfarbe (branch colour) for paratrooper (Fallschirmjäger) and/or flight personnel (Fliegendes Personal). The leather sweatband remains in very good condition. The cap is complete with its original cap eagle and early aluminum cockade. The simulated-leather chinstrap is well-preserved. The cap shows minimal traces of wear and is in overall near-mint condition, with the exception of one small moth nip on the reverse. A very fine and attractive original Luftwaffe visor cap.
