Dutch Motorcyclist’s Leather Jacket – 1939
Original Pre-1940 Dutch Motorcyclist’s Leather Jacket. Protective leather jackets, trousers, and helmets were classified as special clothing and issued to Dutch motorcyclist personnel. This jacket is made from high-quality, supple, blackened leather. It is clearly marked “CM” (Centraal Magazijn) and dated 1939. All original press studs for the wool lining are still present; the lining itself is missing. The jacket is in good, used condition with normal signs of wear consistent with age. The leather remains very supple. One button is loose but included with the jacket.
A rare original Dutch motorcyclist’s leather jacket, difficult to find in this condition.
