1st Canadian Parachute Battalion – Battle Dress Tunic
Original WWII 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion (1CPB) battle dress tunic. Features original wartime-applied insignia, consisting of very scarce, privately purchased embroidered 1CPB shoulder titles, high-quality English-made embroidered airborne Pegasus patches, a Canadian airborne wing on the left breast, service chevrons, and, interestingly, a Warrant Officer patch present only on the left sleeve. The jacket also has a pair of original yellow identification strips at the ends of the epaulettes, which are very hard to find. The tunic itself is a standard Canadian-made example dated 1944 in very good condition, normal traces of wear.
Very rare and desirable jacket with scarce insignia!
