Brigade Piron MkII Helmet – Named to Roger Hintjens (1923), service number 3253

Original WWII Brigade Piron MkII Helmet, named to Roger Hintjens (1923), service number 3253. Hintjens served in the Artillery Battery of the Belgian Brigade Piron. The helmet remains in well-used condition, with the Belgian flash clearly visible. His name and service number are handwritten on the chinstrap, adding to its authenticity. This British-made helmet, produced by W&LC in 1941, retains its original liner. The initial “H” of his last name is also written inside the helmet. Though a white layer has developed over the green paint, we’ve chosen to leave it untouched for preservation purposes. A picture of Roger Hintjens is attached to this advertisement. Roger Hintjens fought in Normandy 1944. We haven’t done any other research to his service.

According to the Brigade Piron battle order for August 1944, during the Battle of Normandy, Hintjens was assigned to Troop B as part of the Observation team, further enhancing the historical significance of this unique artifact.
