British Army Water Bucket – 1942

Original WWII British Army Water Bucket in unused condition. This British army canvas water bucket is made by O. & Co. Ltd showing just storage marks. Made of a blue-green canvas it has rope handle on the top which secures to the bucket through a pair of heavy duty sewn fastenings. The fibres in the fabric swelled when wet, preventing further water from penetrating through the fabric. It was lightweight, didn’t get squashed of dented like a metal bucket and could be folded flat so it didn’t take up much room. A scarce item.
