British CE/TNT MkI wooden crate – 1943
Original WWII British CE/TNT MkI wooden crate. The empty crate is dated May 1943, originally contained 14 “slabs” of CE/TNT MkI, which were issued to Demolition/Royal Engineer teams and also used by resistance and SOE. The CE (Composition Exploding) was apparently an integral fuse primer to detonate the TNT. The crate/box is 30cm long, 19cm wide and 16cm tall and very well-marked on all sides. The crate/box is in very good condition. It has the cotter pin locks present.
