British ‘Commando’ Green Beret – Dated 1944

Original WWII British ‘Commando’ Green Beret. A textbook example of the famous and very hard-to-find green Commando beret. This example was manufactured by Supak Manufacturing Co Ltd. size 6 3/8, dated 1944, the last ‘4’ is not well stamped; it looks more like a ‘1,’ but it is actually a ‘4. It shows light service wear with only scattered moth tracking on the backside (barely visible). The interior bears the War Department stamp with the letter code M, indicating a 1944 issue date. The beret has two holes for a cap badge. A very nice beret!
