British Duffle Coat – Size 3
€225,00
Original WWII British Duffle Coat. The Duffle Coat was a mid-length coat that fell to just slightly above the knees. It was produced from duffle, which is coarse and heavy woolen fabric. The front of the coat was kept closed with a series of four wooden toggles that would be slipped through cord loops. An integrated hood replaced the collar found on other coats and this was made from the same duffle fabric as the main garment. The coats are also famous because they Lt. Col. David Stirling, founder of the SAS wears a duffle coat while standing beside a jeep. This duffle coat shows signs of wear, including some staining and minor surface damage. The label is not clearly readable. Size 3.
