British RAF Observer Harness ‘G & T.L’ 1943

Original WWII British RAF Observer parachute harness intended for use with clip-on chest-type parachute packs. Constructed in white webbing with the correct central black fleck. Fitted with the fully rounded quick-release (QR) box as used on wartime British harnesses. The white webbing harness is date-stamped 1943 and labelled G. & T.L., Observer No. 13932. The harness remains in very good condition, with both sides of the front harness showing blue-coloured broad-arrow markings. The QR box is in good condition, correctly orientated for this harness, and numbered 183400. The rear retains the correct metal loops for attaching a dinghy pack and is fitted with a very good original backpad, broad-arrow stamped. The backpad retains all six small securing straps with press-studs intact.

Increasingly difficult to find and outstanding condition.
