British Ration Canister Carrier – BHG 1942

Original WWII British Ration Canister Carrier. This type of webbing pack was specifically designed to carry a single ration canister. Such packs were used mainly in situations when trucks weren’t able to reach the front line and provide food or establish a field kitchen. The carrier is in very good, unused condition, manufactured by B.H.G. Ltd and dated 1942. It is complete with its original carrying straps and front belt, making it an excellent example. The reverse is stamped ABL, which is a Belgium postwar depot stamp.
