British Windproof Camouflaged Smock – C.W.S. 1943, Size 6

Original WWII British Windproof Camouflaged Smock. The camouflage windproof suits were made from the same lightweight, windproofed cotton material used for the drab tan sets. The camouflage pattern is similar to that of the Denison smock, sharing the same base colours and brushstroke style. The production started in 1943. This smock is in used condition, shows some damages. There is a repair to the lower inside of the jacket, not visible from the exterior (see photo) furthermore nice colours.  The original maker’s label is present: C.W.S. Ltd., large size 6. and dated 1943. Draw tapes and all buttons are present. This is a rare 1943 dated smock in large size.

These smocks were very popular among British and Canadian troops, particularly infantry, snipers, and special forces.
