Canadian Denim Tank Oversuit – Dated 1941

Original WWII Canadian Denim Tank Oversuit. A summer one-piece denim tank oversuit was produced for crewmen of tanks and armoured fighting vehicles. They were worn by as work coverall as well. It resembles the heavier canvas tank oversuit at first glance but there are several differences aside from the lightweight cotton material that is was manufactured from. There are no zippers to close up the front but instead, there are metal fly-fronted buttons from the crotch to the neck. The collar is unlined and there is no provision hood. There are wartime period photos of tank crewmen wearing the battle dress jacket on top over the oversuit. This example is in good used condition, shows traces of wear. Nicely maker marked, dated 1941 in size 2.
