Denison Smock (Airborne Troops) – Dated 1944
Original WWII British Denison Smock (Airborne Troops) with Lieutenant-Colonel rank insignia. This is a 2nd pattern Denison smock in good used condition, showing normal signs of wear. Nice colors. The original maker’s label is intact made by by Arthur Miller, dated 1944 in size 3. The Lieutenant-Colonel rank insignia are economy plastic insignia. The half zipper is fully functional. The tail is still present. All brass press-studs are marked “NEWEY”. One sleeve button is missing. We can see repair on the middle of the smock, a period repair. While Denison smocks are primarily known as Airborne smocks, they were also widely used by Commando units as well as regular British and Canadian infantry troops.
