Original WWII British ‘Airborne Troops’ 1st pattern Denison Smock. This 1st Pattern Denison Smock features hand-painted camouflage, therefore we can date this smock 1942. The smock retains its readable maker’s label: C.W.S. Ltd. Marked as size 5, which is considered one of the most desirable sizes for a Denison smock. It in used condition with signs of wear. The half-zip is replaced by a full-zip. The knitted cuffs shows some damages. The tail is period removed. All brass press-studs are marked NEWEY, one press-stud is missing. The brass parts have been polished.
