Glider Pilot Helmet

Rare WW2 British Glider Pilot Crash helmet. Issued to British Army Air Corps – Glider Pilots who famously wore them during Operation Overlord, the D-day invasion and Operation Market Garden in Holland. The helmet is in good condition, the helmet remains most of its original brown coloured lacquered fabric cover, normal traces of wear, the leather is still supple. Internally the webbing liner is good and the chamois remains clean. The rubber earpiece cups are in good condition, filled with headphones, these headphones are not complete but looks good for display. Stamped Broad Arrow with size 6 7/8. The elastic chinstrap and snap fasteners are good and complete, great example!
